G8首脑召开高峰会，商议影响世界经济的秘密大计。适逢国际货币基金总裁Daniel生日，破例邀请宾客参与，包括一名神父。寡言的神父爱记录鸟声，冷眼静观人性。生日晚宴后，总裁私下约见神父告解忏悔，翌日发现他离奇自杀，打乱会议部署，更可能引发股市震荡，神父则成了破案关键。导演Andò延续前作《自由万岁》针对意大利政坛的政治讽刺，今次拉阔到跨国政治，瞄准令全球贫富差距扩大的罪魁祸首。Toni Servillo饰演片中神父，形神俱备，惟妙惟肖，而Daniel Auteuil就结结实实咁走咗个过场，戏份少到离谱。
