主题很简单，从沉溺过去到发现身边还有更重要的人，但整部电影的讲述方式莫名很喜欢。一个失意酗酒的生活潦倒的导演父亲，给儿子取名叫英格玛，手机铃声是希区柯克的配乐，家里的书多到直接撂满了过道，告诉儿子电影是人生首要大事，除此之外手办能让人开心能让人成为更好的人，总是谎话连篇但儿子都假装相信，当他对儿子说“我不能照顾你”，儿子回答“那我照顾你”。而幻想的故事也很喜欢，和梅里埃的月球一样有悬崖，往下一跳就到了地球，没人会在家里放宇宙飞船那就放会飞的冰箱和洗衣机。唯一不喜欢的就是，每次妻子出现都像恐怖片。
